Two, maybe three (I forget), of those voices came bundled with the SAPI SDK which is available here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=5e86ec97-40a7-453f-b0ee-6583171b4530&displaylang=en
I have no idea if the language pack will install itself on Vista.

The Microsoft ones are not brilliant. Get yourself AT & T or the Cepstral ones.

Will is correct that that the Speech API 5.1 SDK included two TTS engines; Mary and Mike. However, those are only supported on SAPI 5.1, which is specific to Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. They will not work on Windows Vista, which includes SAPI 5.3.
Additionally, the TTS engine that shipped with Windows XP, Microsoft Sam is not available for Windows Vista.

So when will other voices become available for Microsoft Vista Text-To-Speech? I prefer to use the MS technology, but miss the ability to sexual deversity when it comes to gender of voices.
