So Vista and Server08 have the same core... getting the recogntion on
Server08 should be feasable. I copied over the reg keys (and associated
classIDs -> mainly local machine->software->ms->speech) and the speech
folders I could find on my vista install (c:\windows\speech,
c:\windows\system32\speech, and current user files) onto my 08 install. Still
not able to utilize a speech recognition engine.Any guidance on how to get
this to work? I downloaded the windows SDK and read through the readmes on
the samples but I can be dense sometimes and that didn't really help much.
I have installed speech server (which i assumed wouldn't work as it is 5.1)
and still not able to get my program to run.
Any other ideas? Its bad enough to try and push programs live with Vista
when I have to code it differently for XP (no backwords support) but not
finding newer cross platform support to server 08 either. |
