Hi there
I wanted to trial the Terasip program. Maybe I have the wrong end of the stick here but what I was hoping to do was to use Outlook to make calls using my hardware SIP phone.
I have installed Terasip and configured the following settings (items in "" have been changed to names rather than actual data):
Common Tab Profile Name: "Name" Type: Provider/Proxy Contact Name: "PSTN Phone Number" SIP URI: sip:username@domain.dom Call Info Forma: Name/Number only (user)
Proxy Tab Both boxes ticked Proxy: nat.domain.dom:5082 (our providor does not use 5060 they use 5082 instead) Username: "username" (@domain.dom added) Password: "password" Realm: "asterisk"
Media Tab Left as defaults
Stun Tab Left as defaults (not used)
Advanced Tab Left as defaults
When I click the Advanced button I see a "SIP Line Configuration window" Line Name "SIP Line" Default AOR: I didn't know what to put here so I put my SIP account "account@domain.dom" IP Address: All IP Addresses UDP Port: 5067 (this is the port my phone uses) TCP Port: 5067 (this is the port my phone uses)
It makes the call it seams but it doesn't hand it to my phone. Have I misunderstood this application? Can you not make it dial the call and pass it to a hardware SIP device to complete? I've seen software that does this, maybe this isn't it. :)
Sorry if this is a completely wrong request and I am using the software incorrectly.

Warren,
TERASIP is a full-blown SIP TSP that can used to build a softphone using TAPI.
Unfortunately it does not have a click2dial-Mode which can be used to initiate calls on behalf of a hardware phone.
Though, this is a planned feature which will be implemented soon...

Thanks for the quick response.
Good luck with the development.
